Danny Ray Ricks

Danny Ray Ricks passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 73 in Byram, MS.  He was born on October 28, 1950, in Grenada, MS.

Danny retired from AAA Cooper Trucking.  He was known for his love of fishing and hunting during his leisure time.  Danny will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors and the joy that he found in it.  

Danny is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Ricks; his daughters, Michelle Bland and Angela Bland; his brother David Ricks (Kathy); his sisters, Lisa Cosky (Kelly) and Bettye Putman (David); as well as his grandchildren, Andrew Hunter, Trevor Bland, and Hannah Sandifer, and his 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Yewell Ricks and his mother, Edria Ricks.  

Danny’s legacy will live on through the memories he shared with family and friends.  

The family will receive friends for a visitation Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 1pm until the hour of service at 2pm. Services will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.   Interment to follow service at Terry City Cemetery.
