Mr. Danny Boy Smith

Danny Boy Smith, 70, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Danny was a lifelong resident of Rankin County and a member of Harrisville Baptist Church. He loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an Avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was also a fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jewel Smith. He is survived by his wife, Gail Smith of Florence; children, Scott (Nikki) Smith of Butler, AL, Shay (Tara) Smith of Daphne, AL, Melissa (Andrew) Hearn of Florence, MS, and Jennifer Smith of Chicago, IL; sister, Pinky (Wayne) Tucker of Jackson, MS and 5 grandchildren.
