Darren Glenn Couch, 43, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 12-1pm Monday at Cleary Baptist Church prior to the 1pm service at the church. Burial will be in Puckett Cemetery.\ Darren grew up in Clarke County and was an accomplished athlete. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served 21 years and retired as a Chief. After his retirement he moved to Mississippi and worked as an Able Bodied Seaman on an offshore oil rig. Darren was a member of Cleary Baptist Church in Florence. He was a loving husband and father. \ Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Couch and Glenda Butts and his sister Becky Couch.\ He is survived by his wife, Deanna May Couch; his daughter, Dianna and his son Dustin; brothers, Allen Couch, Kevin Singleton, Scott Couch and Dobber Couch. His grand-mother, Lucille Couch and a loving and faithful uncle, Junior Couch. \ Memorials may be made to Cleary Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society\
