Mr. David Lee Allen Sr.

David Lee Allen, Sr., 59, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Mr. Allen was raised in Yazoo City, MS where he attended high school. He was a simple man who loved his family, the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Allen absolutely loved his grandchildren and was of the Pentecostal faith. He is preceded in death by his father, L.C. “Hambone” Allen; brother, Rickey Allen and by his partner Delores Tyson. Survivors include his mother, Ruthie Powell (Howard); son, David Allen, Jr. (Christina); daughters, Rhonda Driskill (Ricky), Tina Chapman (Sammy); step-children, Emily Tyson Wade (Matt) and Carrie Barrentin (Percy); brother, Johnny Chisum (Lisa); sister, Lisa Taylor and 14 grandchildren
