Mr. David Frank Gilmore

David “Frank” Gilmore was born in Munford, AL to Charlie and Floy Gilmore on April 6, 1936. He went to Heaven on October 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle; parents, Charlie and Floy Gilmore; brother, Johnny Gilmore; and sister, Anne Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy Bryant Gilmore; sister, Joy Gilmore of Oxford, AL; nieces and nephews, adopted sons, daughters, and grandchildren. Frank was dedicated to the service of the Lord in teaching Sunday School, serving as business manager of Wesley College, and as President of the Congregational Methodist Church. He was honored to receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity from Wesley College in 2002. Even through his battle with Parkinson’s, he remained gracious and kind with a dry wit to make all smile. The Homegoing celebration will be held at Victory CM Church on Tuesday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 1st at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, AL.
