Mr. David Harold Hawkins

Mr. David Hawkins, 71, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS from 5:00 p.m.--7:00 p.m. and again Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Mr. Hawkins was born to the late James F. Hawkins and Katheryn Benson Hawkins on December 25, 1949 in Jackson, MS. Mr. Hawkins was a Technical Director at Hinds Community College. Mr. Hawkins was a member at Leavell Woods United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. He served his country in the Mississippi Air Guard. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was a member in a Garage Band. He loved to go fishing, take photographs, and building model airplanes in his spare time. David was a kind and gentle soul. He had an extensive and amazing movie collection.
