David Lee Jennings Jr.

David Lee Jennings Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 14, 2022, at his home in Florence, MS at the age of 51 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday October 21, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Then again on Saturday October 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to the 12 p.m. service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Pearl, MS.

David was born on April 15, 1971, in Jackson, MS. He married the Love of his life Candi Grant in 2009 and spent the next 13 years loving her and treating her as a lady should be treated. Now coming in a close second of his love was his dogs; Sassy and Roxie whom he considered more like humans. He was a Trailer Mechanic who loved his job and was always helping others. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed life; considered a True man of God and exemplified what it meant to Love your Neighbor as yourself and treat others the way you want to be treated. To know David was to Love Him and this world has truly lost a great man.

David is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Doris Jennings. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Candi Jennings of Florence, MS; parents in life, Larry (Twylla) Grant of Pearl, MS; father, David Jennings Sr. of Richland, MS; son, Drake (Abbie) Jennings of Richland, MS; grandson, Owen Jennings of Richland, MS; Sisters in life, Amanda (Justin) Parson of Pearl, MS and Brandi (Chris) Best of Pearl, MS; sister, Tammy (Michael) Liner of Richland, MS; Caity, Alex, and Holly along with a host of other nieces and nephews.
