David Jones

James David Jones, 50, passed away November 25, 2017 in Jackson; MS. Visitation is 5pm-8pm Monday, November 27, 2017 and again 10am Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services are 11am Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the Chancellor Chapel with interment to follow at 3:30pm in the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA. Officiating the services for David will be Bro. Pete Underwood. David was born October 5, 1967; he spent most of his youth as resident of Bogalusa, LA. where he a was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed as Superintendent with Sunbelt Construction Company where he had worked for over 22 years. He loved cooking and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed doing for others and was a devoted family man. He leaves behind parents, Coy and Elaine Jones of Bogalusa, LA, two brothers and their wives, Leroy and Scooter Jones of Bogalusa, and Donald and Stephanie Jones of Isabell, LA. Also mourning his loss are his children, his son, Jordan Matthew Jones of Jackson and his daughter Kaitlyn Blair Jones also of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Boyd Jones and Grace Kuhn Jones, Sidney T. Morel, and Verna Peterson Morel, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
