David McCoy

David Ray McCoy,49, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 12noon until the 2pm funeral service Monday, July 13, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. McCoy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A native of Jackson, he was raised in the Newton/Decatur area. Having been in Jackson for the last 25 years, he worked for Armstrong World Industries. An accomplished artist and musician, David played multiple instruments and sang. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and member of The Sacred Name Church out of Rocheport, Missouri.\ \ Survivors included his wife of 25 years, Sherry McCoy of Byram; daughters, Jade and Jordan McCoy of Byram; brothers, Barry McCoy of Byram and Tommy McCoy of Dothan, AL; sister, Gayla Cryer of OK and one grandson, Zaden Barrett. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ann McCoy and brother, Tim McCoy.\
