Mr. David "Joe" Price

David Joe Price passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 69 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service in the chapel. He will be laid to rest at Star Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Joe was born October 26, 1951 in Jackson, MS to the late Tommy Joe “TJ” Price and Mamie Price Duncan. He was a long-time resident of the Florence area and member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. He worked for MS Sheet Metal as a foreman and retired after 31 years. He enjoyed working on small engines of any kind and he loved to grill. He was also a big Tennessee Fan! Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pam Price of Florence; sons, Tommy Matthew “Matt” Price (Erma) of Melissa, TX and David “Jason” Price (Natasha) of Prairieville, LA; grandchildren, Reilley, Nycole, Mason, and Haneen; and brother, William Price of Raleigh; sisters-in-law, Sherry Matthews, Dawn (Roger) Taylor, Jeannie (Frank) Duffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
