David Shearer

David L. Shearer, born September 13, 1955 in Jackson, MS died September 7, 2010 at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, MS after a strong battle with cancer.\ \ David, an avid music lover, enjoyed motorcycle riding with family and friends, deer hunting, and the outdoors. He was a wonderful husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his four granddaughters. David worked as an electric motor rewinder for Natchez Electric and Supply Company in Jackson, MS for over 27 years.\ \ He is survived by wife of over 35 years, Desiree Martin Shearer; son Joshua and wife Lindsey Shearer of Brandon, MS; daughter, Melissa and husband Michael McDonald of Brandon, MS; four granddaughters, Brooklyn and Audrey Shearer, Olivia and Lillie Kate McDonald; parents, Alvie B. and Lorraine Shearer of Raymond, MS; three brothers, Donnie, Mike and Stan Shearer.\ \ Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 9-10am Friday, September 10, 2010 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with funeral services at 10am. Interment will follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.\ \ In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. \
