David Young

David Young, 59, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Central MS Medical Center. Visitation is Monday, September 3, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandhill.\ \ God, family, and sports were very important to David. He faithfully served as a deacon in his church, Cleary Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed coaching ball teams and was known by many as Coach Young. Finally, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who called him "Big D." \ \ David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Madeline young; and brother, Jimmy Young.
