David Owen Dungan, 52, died at his home Saturday, May 28, 2011. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 5-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 12:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral in the funeral home chapel. Internment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Florence.\ \ David was raised in the Old Pearl Community and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Florence High School and entered the MS National Guard where he served for 32 years retiring in March as MSGT. He was a Flight Engineer on 141 aircraft and night shift supervisor on Flight Line. David was an avid NASCAR fan and hunter. A caring man, he always wanted to help his neighbors and anyone in need.\ \ David is preceded in death by brother, Eric Dungan.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Ginny Dungan of Mendenhall; son, Daniel Dungan of New York, NY; parents, Gerald and Carol Dungan of Old Pearl; \ Sisters, Angela Crain of Canton and Kecia Kinabrew of Pearl; and a number of nieces and nephews. \ \ The family guest book may be signed at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com\
