David "Pete" Patterson, 70, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Terry Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Patterson was born March 17, 1938 to John Thomas and Rosa Rhymes Patterson. He had lived in the Byram area since 1967. For 55 years Mr. Patterson was owner/operator of Star Grocery on Bailey Avenue where he was a valuable asset and friend to the community.\ \ Survivors include his wife Peggy Sills Patterson of Byram; sons, Michael (Pennie) Patterson and Peter (Robyn) Patterson, all of Byram; brother, Walter Earl Patterson of Byram; sisters, Hattie Crawford of Byram, Patsy Thrower of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Lacey & Syklar Patterson and Zachary, Joshua and Jacob Patterson.\ \ On line guest book at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\ \
