Delores Ransom

Mrs. Delores Ransom, 79, died March 10, 2010 at Briar Hill Nursing Home. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Friday 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at Star Baptist Church. Services will be at Star Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Interment and graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Friday at Duck Hill Cemetery, Duck Hill, MS.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband, Wheeler Gillespie Ransom.\ \ Mrs. Ransom had lived in Florence for 25 years. She was a member of Star Baptist Church. She worked as a former Nurses' Aide and retired from BIC Processing.\ \ She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Carol (Edwin) Dear of Star; brother, Anthony Horton Guysinger of Florence; brothers: Delroy Johnson of TX, Donald Johnson and Larry Johnson both of Brandon, and Billy Johnson of Cleveland; sister, Betty Buck of SC; 2 grandsons: Clint and Corey Dear.\
