Delores Rickels

Mrs. Delores Rickels passed away at her home on Thursday, January 9, 2025.  She was 87 years old and born April 14, 1937 in McComb, MS.  

Mrs. Rickels graduated high school in McComb and later moved to Jackson.  She enjoyed crocheting "Caps for Christmas" shoeboxes prior to her illness in 2024.  She crocheted 400 caps to be shared with children and adults in numerous countries.  She loved watching football on weekends, traveling with her husband to explore old cars and trucks.

Mrs. Rickels was a faithful member of Raymond First Baptist Church.  She loved her God and her church.  

Mrs. Rickels is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Harold Rickels; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Easley; a brother, William Easley; and a sister, Jeanne Easley Mote.

Mrs. Rickles is survived by a son, Kenny Rickels of Raymond, MS.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rickels will be buried at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb on January 14, 2025.  A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
