Dennis Ray Pegram

Our beloved father, Dennis Ray Pegram, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the young age of 67. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 with burial following in the Garden of Memories.

Our dad was a jack of all trades. He was a diesel mechanic for 40 plus years where he was a master of his trade. He could fix any vehicle. Take anything apart, and put it back together, better! He loved to draw cartoons, blueprints, and sketches. He loved his dogs, and all his livestock. He was a sucker for music, especially old vinyls, and found great joy in his cowboy shows. Walker Texas Ranger and Law & Order were always on growing up with our dad. No matter near or far, talking or not, he loved his children and would be there at the drop of a hat if we needed him. Our dad found the Lord towards the end of his life, pleaded for redemption, and we trust he gained his angel wings. We love you forever Dad, Daddy, Papaw, Den-Den!

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Lila Mae and Paul Wilson Pegram, Sr.; and brothers, Paul Wilson Pegram, Jr. and Wilson Dee Pegram. He is survived by his children, Mauray Wilson Pegram (Stephanie) of Kosciusko, MS, Ashley Michelle Gardner (Mathew) of Idaho, Justin Pegram (Jessica) of Lafayette, IN, Amber Merritt of Indianapolis, IN, and Colby Pegram (Shelby) of Florence, MS, and bonus son, Aaron Effinger of Florence, MS; siblings, Wanda Lott (Richard) of Kosciusko, MS, Pauline Wargel (Jim) of Detroit, MI, Rita Warnock (Lamar) of Madison, MS, and Calvin Pegram of Collins, MS; 12 grandchildren and Michael (Theresa) Effinger of Florence.
