Dr. Diane Géraldine Lebesgue passed away, Saturday, August 30, 2014, at her home in Jackson, MS. She was born August 20, 1968 in Lons Le Saunier, France. Diane was a talented Neuroscientist who made important contributions to the study of the brain and behavior. She was a valued friend and colleague in the Department of Neurobiology Anatomical Sciences at UMMC. Diane lived her life with passion, and had a love of nature and horses that she shared with her many friends. She is survived by her parents, Gerard and Nelly Lebesgue of France; sisters, Virginie Lebesgue of France and Florence (Gilberto) Barailler of Italy; nephews, Alex and Flavio Barailler of Italy. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday, September 3, at Natchez Trace Cemetery in Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations made be to the American Cancer Society.
