Mrs. Dixie Whatley

Dixie Whatley, 74, of Florence, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 28, 2013. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Wednesday from 9:00 until the 10:00 AM service at Mt. Creek Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will be at Harrisville Cemetery. Mrs. Whatley had lived in Florence since 1974, moving there from Richland. She was a homemaker and an active member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church in Florence. Ms Dixie loved her family and was so proud of all of them. Mrs. Whatley was preceded in death by her husband: Cabe Whatley. She is survived by her sons: Ricky Johnson (Debbie) of Durant, FL, Tim Weaver (Vicki) of Madison, MS, Charles Weaver (Megan) of Gluckstadt, MS and Larry Weaver (Sheila) of Florence, MS; daughters: Vickie Blakeney (Kevin) of Bay Springs, MS and Bonnie McDaniel of Durant, FL; step-children: Vance Whatley (Terry), Michael Whatley (Deborah) and Cherryl Nance (Wayne) all of Florence, MS; sisters: Jeanette Hall of Marianna, FL, Carrie Hammer of Florence, MS and Lounelle Gravenmier of Marianna, FL; grandchildren: Ryan Weaver, Michael Weaver, Stefanie Weaver, Elijah Weaver, Gabby Weaver, Griffin Horne, Ethan Horne, Rylan Dellapenna, Griffin Nance, Tyler Nance, Corby Whatley, Amy Whatley, Wesley Whatley, Matthew Whatley, Shannon Burns, Alicia Johnson and Sam Blakeney and Great-Grandchildren: Jace Weaver, Gabe Weaver and Easton Whatley. Her loving smile will be missed by all who knew her.
