Rev. Don Henderson, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2020 at his home in Byram. He was 86. Due to the current circumstances, the family will have a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 04 at Lakewood Memorial Park South. Rev. Henderson was born to James Henderson and Ada Walley Henderson on June 12, 1933 in Richton, MS. Don loved the Lord and retired from the ministry after fifty years of serving Him and His community at several locations throughout Mississippi, including First Baptist of Bolton, First Baptist of Nesbit, Emmanuel Baptist Grenada, and at Hillcrest as minister of visitation. Rev. Henderson loved people and his greatest desire was for them to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ollie Mitchell Henderson and brother, Jimmy Henderson. He is survived by his son, Mickey (Teresa) Henderson; daughter, Suzanne H. (Billy) Parker; brothers, Milton (Faye) Henderson, Paul (Donna) Henderson, Edsel (JoAnn) Henderson, and Marshall Henderson; sister, Portia (Ronald) Thornton; sister-in-law, Jane Henderson; five grandsons, Joey (Pennie) Clack, Jacob (Beth) Clack, Jonah (Shelby) Clack, Jonathan (Anna) Henderson, and David (Ashley) Henderson; and three great-granddaughters, Carly Clack, Lucy Henderson, and JoAnna Henderson.
