Mr. Don Joe Martin

Don Joe Martin, 83, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home in Byram. Visitation will be 9-12noon Friday, March 14, 2014, with funeral services beginning at 12noon Friday, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Martin was born in Jackson, MS, having lived in Byram since 1943. He retired from ICC Railroad, was owner/operator of Discount Tree Service and was an auto salesman. Mr. Martin was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Nelda Martin of Jackson; son Wiley (Regina) Martin of Byram; mother Irene “Granny” Martin of Jackson; grandchildren Charitie Martin Meacham, Paul Morgan and Carl Martin; great grandchildren Brandon Vance, Gage Meacham, Kendaie Meacham and Brantley Parker Martin.
