Don Montgomery

Donald E. Montgomery, 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his home in Florence. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Parkhill Baptist Church in Jackson. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 9:00 - 10:00 Tuesday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.\ \ Don was born to the late Valley Lee and Elinor Montgomery in Carroll County, Mississippi. He was the son-in-law of the late John William and Annie Parker McNeer. He graduated from Valley High School and had worked for Walker Farms Dairy, Redd Pest Control, and owned Don's Pest Control.\ \ Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death his daughter, Donna Sue Montgomery and son, Gary Wayne Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Susan Montgomery of Florence; son, Duane Montgomery (Terri) of Terry; and daughter, Leisa Montgomery of Tuscon, AZ. Siblings include V.L. Montgomery, Jr., Linda Rayburn, Hazel Swindoll, Jean Payne, Bunney Palmertree, and Frank Montgomery.\ \ Grandchildren include Cari Montgomery of Florence, Carly Montgomery of Concord, New Hampshire and Austin Driscoll of Tucson, AZ. Great granddaughter, Presley Montgomery of Florence.\
