Donald Puckett

Donald Floyd Puckett, Jr., beloved son and brother, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Brandon, MS. Visitation is scheduled for 2 until the 4 p.m. Chapel Service on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence. Donald was a faithful Sunday School and church member at River of Life Assembly of God. He loved to usher and spend time with friends there. His favorite pastime was to hang out with his friend Dennis at Bass Pro Shop and collect model cars. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Marie and grandparents Stella and John Miller, Pittsburgh, PA, and Elna Ruth Puckett, Raleigh, MS. Survivors are his mother, Susan Miller Puckett, Flowood, MS, his father, Donald F. Puckett, Sr., Raleigh, MS, sisters Amanda (Scott) Puckett Phelps, Pearl, and Leia Puckett, Raleigh, brothers Adam (Katie) Christopher Puckett, Pearl, Christopher Puckett, Raleigh and grandfather, R.B. Puckett, Raleigh. He leaves behind two dearly loved nephews and a niece. Donald loved his friend Lisa Smith, who was very special to him. Donald was lovingly cared for by so many employees of Hudspeth Regional Center, and made so many friends there. The family is very grateful to the loving people at Hudspeth for their good care of Donald.
