Donald Sharp

Donald G. Sharp\ Flowood\ \ Donald G. Sharp, 89, went home to be with his Lord Friday, December 23, 2011. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood South Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. Sharp was born in Covington, LA. He served in the Army during WWII. In his spare time, he loved solving crossword puzzles. He loved music. It was evident in his life because he loved to sing. He sang in his church choir until he was 87. He loved gospel quartets and the Gaithers. He loved his church and was very active. He was a member of Christway Church of God. Finally, he dearly loved his family.\ \ Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his wife, Eris Mae Sharp; son-in-law, Randy Weeks; sister, Nellie Penton; brother-in-law, Raleigh Elmore; and grandson, Harold Lee Glascoe, Jr.\ \ He is survived by his daughters, Janet Glascoe (Harold) and Donnis...
