Donna Morgan

SFC Donna Morgan, U.S. Army, Retired, 55, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at her home in Byram. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral Services will be at 11am Friday, November 7, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park with full military honors.\ \ A lifelong resident of Hinds County, she attended Byram Schools from grades 1-12. Mrs. Morgan retired from the U.S. Army in 1995. She served in the Recruiting Battalion in Jackson, Ms and Nashville, TN. Her last duty station was The Office of the Chief Army Reserve at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and was part of the U.S. Army Reserve Units in Jackson, MS and Montgomery, AL. Prior to the military she had worked with Deposit Guaranty National Bank. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church.\ \ She is preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Martin. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, George Morgan of Byram; son, Paul Morgan of Oxford; father, D.J.
