Donna Marie Handfield Stubbs, born on November 23rd, 1957 to Bill and Jeroline Handfield in Willimantic, CT, went to be with her heavenly father on Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023.
She attended Provine High School, Hinds Community College, and graduated with her BS in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She went on to be an elementary school teacher before spending over 30 years with the State Department of Education Child Nutrition. She married Bradley Stubbs in 1979, gained a step-daughter Amanda, whom she loved as her own; in 1981 she gave birth to her son, Brice. She served her church well and could be found serving in the children's ministry more times than she'd be seated in the sanctuary. She loved every child that came across her path. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jeroline Handfield; and grandparents, Roy and Laura Flynt and Raymond and Agnes Handfield.
She is survived by her son, Brice Stubbs (Kristi) of Starkville, MS; her daughter, Amanda Stubbs of Clinton, MS; her grandchildren, Kara, Nathan, Tanner, Alex, and Carley; her two sisters, Laurie Lynch (Ken) and Judy Buckler (John), and 8 nieces and nephews.
The Crossroads PreK and kindergarten class will be honorary pallbearers.
