Donnie Russell

Mrs. Donnie Russell, 91, died February 21, 2010 at Central MS Medical Center. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 and Tuesday, from 12:00 until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will follow in Hickory Ridge Cemetery.\ \ A resident and core member of the Hickory Ridge Community since 1936, Mrs. Russell was a retired sitter and retired from S.N. Thomas & Sons as a supervisor. She was oldest member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting for her family and friends.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil P. Russell, son, Robert E (Bob) Russell and daughter, Carolyn Brakefield.\ \ She is survived by sons: Pat Russell (Ann) of Florence and Don Russell (Jean) of Richland; daughters: Nannette Herring (Calvin) of Terry and Marilyn Davis (Billy) of Richland; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.\ \ In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Hickory Ridge Baptist Building Fund, 1124 Mullican Road, Florence, MS 39073.\
