Doris Breihan

Doris Breihan, 87, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Hazlehurst. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Wednesday, from 1 pm until the 2 pm funeral service at First Baptist Church of Florence. Burial will follow in Florence Cemetery. \ Mrs. Breihan was a life long resident of Florence and an active member of First Baptist Church of Florence. She worked for H. H. Dewees for a number of years then as a clerk for the City of Florence and was a long time former member of Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to work in her yard and enjoyed traveling. \ Mrs. Breihan was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Breihan; her parents, Rev. Oscar and Bessie Byrd; and by her brother, Samuel David Byrd. She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Breihan of Florence and Sue (Reggie) Young of Crystal Springs; her sisters, Ruth Davis of Harrisville and Pauline (Thomas Ray) Laird of Florence; 2 grandchildren, Dusty (Jackie) Young of Bolton and Kelli (Donnie) Gober of Brandon; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. \
