Doris Mae Kemp, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, February 28, from 5-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and Friday, March 1, at Wynndale Baptist Church from 9am until the 10am funeral service. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram handling arrangements.\ \ Mrs. Kemp was one of seven children, born in Macon, MS to the late J.B. Champion, Sr. and Neomie George Champion. She lived in Terry for 47 years and enjoyed flowers and gardening. Mrs. Kemp loved to work at her church, Wynndale Baptist, where she was a Sunday school teacher.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn L. Kemp, Sr. Survivors include her son Glenn L. "Rusty" Kemp, Jr. (Teresa) of Terry; daughter Laura Sue Kemp Day of Pearl; brothers J.B. Champion, Jr. (Frances) of Byram and Curley D.
