Mrs. Doris Evelyn Kidd

Doris Evelyn Kidd, 86, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many went to be with Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her home in Crystal Springs. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram from 5:00—7:00 pm and Monday, December 23, 2019 from 10:00 until the service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS. Born to Joseph “Joe” Teasley and Annie Johnson on July 17, 1933, Mrs. Dorris was a lifelong resident of Crystal Springs and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She was formerly a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and working in the yard, especially her garden and her flower beds. She loved going out to have a great time dancing with friends and family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kidd and five brothers. She is survived by her son, Lavon (Sally) Howard of Georgia; daughters, Janice Brandenburg, Linda (Leon) Stewart, and Pam (David) Luper, all of Crystal Springs; brother, Kennel (Sylvia) Teasley of Crystal Springs; sister Peggy Prather of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and her faithful companion, her doggie, “Lucy”.
