Mrs. Dorothy Carolyn Cargile

Dorothy Carolyn Cargile, 91, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at University of MS Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 2pm Friday, April 1, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with a one hour visitation prior to service time. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Mrs. Cargile was born in Sledge, MS to the late John Daniel Carmichael and Iloe Magdeline Bolton Carmichael. Having lived in Byram since 1999, she had come from South Jackson, where she was a member of McDowell Rd. Baptist Church and Raymond Road Baptist Church. A homemaker for 57 years, she also worked for Deposit Guaranty Bank as a Teller. Dot as she was called by her friends, adored her grandchildren who lovingly called her May May. Survivors include her son Donald Cargile (Diane) of Vicksburg; daughter Carolyn Ward (Randy) of Raymond; grandchildren Meagan Cargile and Wesley Ward (Camie) and one great grandchild.
