Dorothy Causey Fortenberry, 80, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away October 7, 2009, after an extended illness.\

Mrs. Fortenberry was born to Thomas Cloy and Jo Pearl Causey on March 5, 1929, in McComb, Mississippi. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson and began a long career in the banking industry, retiring from Sunburst Bank in 1994. She was a long time member of Epworth United Methodist Church. \

Mrs. Fortenberry was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Causey and an infant daughter, Pamela Sue. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Albert Fortenberry, of Jackson, daughter Gail Blackburn of Brandon, son, Chuck Fortenberry of Jackson and the lights of her life, grandson Nathan Blackburn, his wife, Apryl and their two beautiful boys, Beckett and Keller. She is also survived by her brother, Cloy Causey, his wife, Barbara of Houston, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. \
