Mrs. Dorothy Berry Huckeby

Mrs. Dorothy Berry Huckeby, 94, passed away Monday, July 01, 2013 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2nd from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, July 3rd from 9 am until the 10 am funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Lakewood South in Jackson. Mrs. Huckeby moved from South Jackson where she lived since 1939 to Florence in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson. She was a homemaker that loved and cherished her family and her church. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. Mrs. Huckeby is preceded in death by her husbands, Wade H. Berry and Jim Huckeby, her son, Harold Berry, and by 7 siblings. She is survived by her son, Richard (Linda) Berry of Byram and their children, Scott and Keith Berry; daughter, Ella Kay (Charles) Lindsey of Terry and their children, Angie Brunson and Wes Lindsey; sister in law, Gloria Speak of Texas and her children, Chad and Chris Berry; and 10 great grandchildren.
