Dorothy “Sue” Freeny Mulholland, 92 years old, affectionately known as “Ms. Sue”, passed from her earthly home at Bedford Care Center of Marion to her heavenly home on Friday, November 27, 2020. Per her request, there will be a family graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bob Mulholland, Sr. with Rev. Chris Goolsby officiating the service. Miss Sue spent 47 years in south Jackson before moving to The Blake at Flowood and then on to Bedford Care Center the last several years of her life. She sold Avon for 37 years in Jackson, earning many awards for top sales and truly considered her customers as family. She will forever be remembered by her son, Bob Mulholland, Jr. of Nashville, TN and daughter, Lynda (Mark) McDonald of Meridian, MS; as well as her grandchildren who knew her as “Memaw”, Holly (Robert) Cassell of Nashville, TN, Chris (Lauren) McDonald of Charlestown, IN, and Brian McDonald of Meridian, MS. She also leaves to cherish her memory two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Maya Cassell of Nashville, TN as well as numerous other family members including a sister-in-law, Ouida F. Mulholland; two nieces, Martha Cummings and Kathy (Jim) Smith; four nephews, Mike (Janis) Clark, Dr. David (Gina) Mulholland, Dwight (Teresa) Mulholland, and Danny Mulholland as well as other relatives and friends. Mrs. Mulholland was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Mulholland Sr., her parents, Clifton and Kate Freeny; brother, Nolen Freeny; sister, Molly F.Morris; daughter-in-law, Agnes R. Mulholland; brothers-in-law, H.D. Mulholland, Jackie Mulholland, Lovelle Morris, and James Clark; and sister-in-law, Madge Freeny. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Cathy Bates, Administrator, and her staff at Bedford Care Center of Marion for their loving care and devotion towards Mom for nearly three years. The level of compassion displayed on a daily basis was a constant source of comfort during these challenging times.
