Dorothy Mullins

Dorothy Jane Crisco Mullins was born and raised in Pinola, MS. She was born on May 27, 1923 and went to be with the LORD on Wednesday morning, December 3, 2008 at Brandon Court. Family and friends will gather for visitation Thursday, December 4, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 10-11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church in Old Pearl Community in Florence. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church with interment following at Antioch Cemetery.\ \ Dot married Wilkin Mullins from Pinola and had two children, Phil Mullins and Mary Jane Mullins Kennedy. In 1948 Wilkin and Dot moved to Old Pearl Community and settled. They ran the country store and sawmill as well as farmed in the area. Wilk and Dot were active members of Antioch Baptist Church. Wilkin died in 1966 and Dorothy continued to make Old Pearl Community her home.\ \ She enjoyed life in many arenas. She worked at Howard's in Pearl for many years.
