Mrs. Dorothy Sweat Prisock

Dorothy Sweat Prisock, beloved wife and mother, passed away on October 1, 2017 at Plain View Assisted Living in Richland, MS. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral home in Byram, MS on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00am at Chancellor Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Dorothy was born on July 26, 1930. She was an active member of the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church and loved her church family. Dorothy loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips all across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Dorothy was retired from the United States Post Office as a postal supervisor. She is preceded in death by her husband Earnest Donald Prisock; her parents Newton Edward Sweat Sr. and Ruby Louise Gattis Sweat; her brother Newton Edward Sweat Jr.; and her great grandson Alexander Shane Ladner. She is survived by her children Sandie Ladner Herrington (Mike), Steve Prisock (Paula), Celeste Mohon (Allen), Anna Cole (Doug) and Becky Gregory (Rickey). Grandchildren, Shane Ladner, Justin Prisock, Kelly Way, Sara Mohon, Corey Creekmore, Duncan Creekmore and Baylee Cole. Great grandchildren, Haley Ladner, Kaleb Prisock, Gavin Prisock, Isaiah Way, Luke way and Marlee Way. Her children would like to extend a heart felt thank you to those at Plain View who provided such loving care for our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hickory Ridge Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
