Dorothy Welch

Mrs. Dorothy Steen Welch, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Magee General Hospital in Magee. Visitation will be Friday, September 23 from 5:30-9 pm and Saturday from 10am until the 11 am service at Palestine Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Harrisville Cemetery. Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence is handling the arrangements.\ \ A life long resident of Harrisville, Mrs. Welch worked as an assembly worker at Chloride Battery Plant and as a waitress at Jerry's Fish House. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Otis L. Welch; brothers, J.C. Jr. and Luther Ray Buckley; and by her parents, Clarence and Bertha Buckley.\ \ She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Patty) Welch of Pearl and Randy (Betty) Welch of Harrisville; her daughter, Dianne (James) Berry of Braxton; her sister, Francis Bennett of Brandon; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.\
