Doug Pruitt

\ Mr. Darrell "Doug" Pruitt, 53 died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital. Visitation is Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Florence Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Pruitt was a Taylorsville native before moving to Florence 27 years ago and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Florence. He is remembered for his love given to his grandchildren. Gardening and fishing were his favorite past times. He worked as a land surveyor with TE McDonald Inc.\ \ He is preceded in death by his father, David Pruitt and a brother, Danny Pruitt.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kitsinger Pruitt of Florence; mother, Mildred Johnson of Crystal Springs; daughter, Kira Christine Pruitt Wall and husband, David of Florence; brother, David Pruitt and sister, Wanda Jean Pruitt both of Crystal Springs; grandchildren: Bethanie-Jane LeAnn and Benton David Douglas Wall.\
