Mrs. Earleen Shelton McKinney

Earleen Shelton McKinney, 72, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home in Pearl. Visitation will be Thursday, July 10th from 5-7 PM and Friday, July 11th from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden in Pearl. Mrs. McKinney has been a resident of Pearl for over 45 years. She loved to read and study the bible as well as gardening, cooking and sewing. She was a people person, and enjoyed being around people especially her family. Her priority and passion in life was her family. Mrs. McKinney is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jimmie Shelton; her son, John Wesley McKinney; and 12 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gilbert McKinney of Pearl, MS; daughters Donna (Ray Boothroyd) Sullivan of Florence, MS and Alisa (Bill) Butler of Pearl, MS; brother, Carl (Ruby) Shelton of Carrolton, MS; sister, Grace Tingle of Carrollton, MS; grandchildren, Brandi Sullivan Banes, Brittany (Jimmy) Greene, Christian Sullivan and Kimberly Butler (T.J.) Buie; great grandchildren, Taylor Banes, Sade Walker, and Cameron Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
