\ Edward S. Nizinski, 86, died December 7, 2010 at VA Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 2010 from 5-7pm and Saturday from 9 until the 10am service at St Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Chancellor Funeral Home will handle the arrangements.\ \ Ed was born in Glassport, PA in 1942. He was a graduate of Glassport High School and attended Marietta College in Marietta, OH. He enlisted in the Aviation Cadet Program in 1943 and graduated as a pilot officer class of 44-I in November 1944. He flew B-25 "Mitchell" and B-17 "Flying Fortress" Bombers during World War II. He was stationed at Hawkins Field at the Jackson Air Base from February 1945 until September 1945 flying B-17's from Jackson to the Yucatan Peninsula. Next, he was stationed at Peterson Field, Colorado Springs, CO until late April 1946. He was a Captain in the Air Force Reserve and an active member of "QB" Quiet Birdmen.\ \ He worked as the district sales manager for Vanguard Industries, makers of Palmino camping trailers, until his retirement in May 1990.\ \ He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Douglas Nizinski. He is Survived by his former wife, Martha Wilkinson of Florence; sons, Stan Blakeney of Dallas, TX and Michael Boteler(Sandy) of Florence; Daughter, Brenda Bryant (Billy); Grandchildren, Ashleigh Harvey, Richard Bullock, Austin Bullock, Kristy Kimball, Paul Blakeney and Terri Boteler; and 6 Great Grandchildren.\ \ The family requests that in Lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.\ \ \
