Eddy R. Gibbs

Mr. Eddy Ray Gibbs, 73, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is Sunday, 2 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with graveside services following at 3 p.m. in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. Gibbs loved gospel music and shared his talents as he sang in Quartets. He was self employed in industrial chemical sales. He attended Southside Assembly of God.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Judy Gibbs of Florence; son, Chuck and wife Dianne Blackwell of Ellisville; daughters: Geri "GiGi" Blackwell of Brandon and Gina S. Blackwell of Canton; sisters: Rue Taylor (Rev. Lester), Lue Powers (Rev. Ray) all of Clarkston, WA; 4 grandchildren: Ashli and Lesley Blackwell, Clint and Alaina Garland.\ He is preceded in death by his parents: Reverend Jeff and Mrs. Rena Gibbs. \
