Edith Creel

Mrs. Edith Mae Creel, 78, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life Thursday, September 25, 2008, 5-8 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services to honor the life of Mrs. Creel will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with interment following at Florence City Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Creel spent her life loving her husband, children and especially playing with her grandchildren. She had a paper route for Clarion Ledge and Jackson Daily News for 20 years. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence.\ \ She was preceded in death by two sons: Michael and Ken Creel.\ \ She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Creel, Sr. of Florence; daughters: Darlene (Pat) Scanlon of Brandon and Tamie (Pat) Ledgerwood of Bristow, OK; sons: George (Phyllis) Creel, Jr. of Florence, Robin L.(Brenda) Creel of Flora; brother, Willie Ray Wilson and sister, Leslie Smiddy both of Florence; eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.\
