She gave her children the gift of unconditional love. She taught us about Jesus, placed within us the knowledge of the Word, and lived it as an example everyday of her life. She walked the walk, lived in grace and beauty, with a strength that comes only from God. She taught well what she believed, she was not moved. She leaves the greatest legacy- a praying mother, and a prayer warrior for all she came in contact with. She fought the fight, she ran the race, and there is a crown of life laid up for her.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Wesley Overstreet, one son, Ronald Earl Overstreet, her parents, John Otho and May Stokes Hartfield, one brother, Theodore Hartfield, two sisters, Ester Catherine Hartfield and Lillian Hartfield Creel, great grandson, Dawson Barkley Lott and daughter-in-law, Donna Hancock Overstreet.\ \ She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Danny) Walton; two sons: Dan (Nancy) Overstreet, William (Kathy) Overstreet; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.\ \ She was a charter member of Florence Church of God and Full Gospel Fellowship and was faithful in each.
