Mr. Edward "Ed" Earl Hayman

July 10, 1943 — March 4, 2014

Edward Earl (Ed) Hayman, 70, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6th from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior at Fellowship Baptist Church on Siwell Road. Mr. Hayman, a native of South Jackson, has lived in Canton since 1995. He was a Career Grocer, starting in 1961 with Jitney Jungle/McCarty Holman and spent his last few years at Piggly Wiggly in Canton, MS. He loved the Lord, his church, his family, and especially grands and great-grands. He was the family rock and he touched so many lives, each in a special way. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carla Hayman of Canton; sons, Scott (Amy) Hayman of Denham Springs, LA and Jerry Hayman of Canton; daughters, Theresa (Harold) Parks of Canton and Angelia (Daryl) Taylor of Brandon; brother, Royce Hayman of Canton; sisters, Kathleen Byrd of Florence, Hazel Taylor of Mendenhall, Bobbie Williams of Mendenhall, and Lucille Perry of Richland; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Missions, 3823 S. Siwell Road, Jackson, MS 39212.
