E. Guy Reynolds

E. Guy Reynolds, 77, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at UMC in Jackson. Visitation will be 12:00 until the 2pm service time Friday, April 11, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will be in Springridge UMC Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Reynolds attended Millsaps College before entering the United State Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict where he served as temporary Chaplin. He worked for Standard Life and Mass Mutual Life Insurance for a number of years as an agent. At the age of 70 he became an ordained Chaplin working at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. Mr. Reynolds started and was Troop Master for Boy Scout Troop #2 in Jackson. He attended Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Byram. \ \ Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Maureen Reynolds of Byram; sons, Greg Reynolds (Sherri) of Byram, Eric Reynolds (Ginny) of Petal, Scott Reynolds of Byram; daughter, Kathy Potts (Tom) of Cedar Rapids, IA; sister, Ruby Peeples of Ocala, FL; brother-in-law, Joe Gay of Byram; nephew Jody Gay; niece Esther Moore; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
