Mr. Elton "E.L." Laborne Mayfield, Jr. , 77, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 surrounded by his family whom he dearly loved. Funeral visitation will be 5 until 8 P.M. Thursday and services are 1:00 P.M. Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. \ E.L. was born in McCool, Mississippi on February 17, 1935. He resided in Terry, Mississippi and was a retired superintendent of Delta Constructors Inc. \ Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patsy Ruth of Terry which he always called "Pete." Daughter, Betty Ann Chisolm and son in law Dale Chisolm. Daughter, Annette Hartzog and son in law George Hartzog. He had four amazing grandchildren, Jimmy Dale (Brittany) Chisolm, Amber Hartzog (Caleb) Cope, Nicole Chisolm (Jordan) Crocker, and Austin Hartzog and two great grandchildren, Caden Crocker and expecting Gray Chisolm.
