Elaine Cooper

Elaine Cooper, 85, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Riggs Manor in Raymond. Visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS Mrs. Cooper loved her family, especially “her boys,” gardening, roses, flowers, birds and the beach. She also enjoyed traveling with her three sisters and their chauffer, Jimmy Lynch, a very special brother in law. For many years she worked as an RN before coming home to take care of her beloved grandson when he was born. She was a resident of Terry for twenty-two years and member of Wynndale Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Myron Cooper; a daughter in law, Luanne Cooper; brother, A.M. “Mac” Minton. She is survived by a son, Hank (Ruth) Cooper; grandson, Michael (Monica) Cooper; and two great grandsons, John Michael and Sean E. Cooper, sisters, Doris Graves, Inez Townsend, Kathy Lois (Jimmy) Lynch; a sister in law Dorothy Cooper.
