Elizabeth Adcock

Elizabeth B. Adcock, 88, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 9am until the 10am funeral service Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mrs. Adcock was born March 13, 1921 in Mize, MS to Henry and Leona Anderson Byrd. She had lived in Byram for the last 10 years having come from South Jackson and was a retired beautician and homemaker. Mrs. Adcock was a member of Oakview Baptist Church.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Adcock Jr.; siblings, Olive Wade, Fannie Magee, Emma Luckey, Curtis Byrd, and Edward Byrd.\ \ Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn A. Sumrall of Byram, Karen A. Smith (Sid) of Crystal Springs and Peggy A. Hearst of Ridgeland; brother, Jeff Byrd of Mize; sisters, Flora LaRue of Ardmore, OK and Katherine Arrington of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Paige Sumrall, Shelley Wilson, Kristin Sumrall, William Sumrall, Jr., Brad Moore, Tracie Cruse and Marc Hearst; 2 step grandchildren, Charles C.
