Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hajj

Mrs. Ann Upton Hajj, 77 of Star, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation is 3pm- 5pm Saturday, Oct 8, 2016, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and at 1:30pm Sunday at Star Baptist Church. Funeral Services are 2pm Sunday, Oct 9, 2016, at Star Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hajj had lived in Star, MS for 22 years and was raised in the Byram/Jackson area where she attended school. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and was a wonderful cook. She had a strong personality and great sense of humor. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a dedicated Christian and a faithful member of Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Michael Eugene Hajj, her parents Earnest Lee Upton and Estelle Newton Upton and a brother Tom Upton. She leaves behind her children, Cheryl Walker (Glenn), Stacia Hajj and Daryl Hajj all of Florence. Her siblings, Butch Upton of Wesson, Kathy Ashley (Ron) of Kingston, WA, Kenny Upton (Lynn) of Byram, Frances Autry (Jimmy) Marrero, LA, her precious grandchildren, Michael Hajj, Matthew Hajj, Kayla Hajj, Kaleb Hajj, Tiffanie Wilmoth, Taylor Walker, and her great grandchildren, Emery Hajj, Braxton Hajj, Paisleigh Hajj, C.J. Hajj and Drew Wilmoth.
