Mrs. Elizabeth Elaine Morris

Elizabeth Elaine Morris, 78, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at 2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. A graveside service will follow on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Marks Cemetery in Marks, MS. Raised in Locke Station, MS, Betty was born in Marks, MS on July 04, 1943 to Henry Earl White and Ollie Stribling White. She was a graduate of Marks High School. Betty made many lifelong friends during her career at St. Dominic’s. After 34 years of employment, she retired as a lab technician in 2005. Mrs. Morris was a member of Siwell Rd. Church of Christ (formerly Belvedere Church of Christ). She loved studying God’s Word and strived to live as close to Christ as she could. Betty loved her family and cherished hearing her grandchildren and great-grandchild call her GranGra most of all. Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy White and sisters, Marjorie Harrison and Josephine Warrington. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Morris of Clinton; daughter, Leigh Ann Guest (Tommy) of Madison; son, Chris Morris (Leigh Ellen) of Chelsea, AL; grandchildren, Kyle Parker (Brittany), Seager Laine Morris, Christopher Finnegan Morris, Samuel Micajah Morris, and Evelyn Joy Morris; great-grandchild, Olive Kate Parker; and brother, Allen White of Sugarland, TX.
